Understanding CELPIP
How CELPIP-style assessment fits Canadian immigration pathways and CLB targets.
What CELPIP measures
The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) assesses Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking for Canadian immigration and citizenship purposes. Each section is scored from 1 to 12, aligned with Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels.
CLB and program requirements
Many programs require minimum scores per section, not only an overall average. Know your pathway targets early so you can prioritize weak sections without neglecting the others.
How FreeCELPIPTest fits in
FreeCELPIPTest provides CELPIP-oriented practice and study material. We do not administer the official test and cannot guarantee any CLB outcome.
