Why Adverbs Matter for CELPIP
Adverbs add precision and sophistication to your writing. They answer "how," "when," "where," and "how often"—essential for demonstrating language control.
| Skill Level | CELPIP Score Impact |
|---|---|
| Few/no adverbs | CLB 5–6 (basic sentences) |
| Strategic adverbs | CLB 9–10 (sophisticated expression) |
The Reality: Adding adverbs shows you can modify and refine your meaning, a hallmark of higher proficiency.
